Official Unveiling of Grand Theft Auto 6 by Rockstar Games

Rockstar Games surprised fans with an early release of the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6, offering a glimpse into the highly anticipated open-world game. However, eager players will have to exercise patience as the release is scheduled for 2025.

After nearly a decade since the launch of Grand Theft Auto 5, the anticipation for its successor, Grand Theft Auto 6, has reached a fever pitch. Boasting a remarkable 405 million copies sold across the franchise so far, the open-world action game has solidified its place among the highest-grossing gaming series of all time.

Originally slated for an early Tuesday release, the first trailer was unveiled a day earlier due to an unexpected leak on Monday afternoon. Grand Theft Auto 6 has been in development since 2014.

The trailer aligns with earlier leaks, confirming a return to the Miami-inspired Vice City, albeit in a contemporary setting rather than the 1980s. Additionally, it introduces the series' first female protagonist, one of two playable leads.

Surprisingly, the trailer concludes with a release window of 2025, dispelling expectations of a sooner launch. Rockstar Games, having enjoyed unparalleled success with Grand Theft Auto 5, seems committed to ensuring the quality of the sequel rather than rushing its release. With a decade having passed since the last installment, fans can anticipate that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be well worth the wait.
